The Kult Bookshop
Welcome to the newly opened bookshop at the Kult Books studio. Here you’ll find not only Kult Books titles but also a curated selection of publications from other artists and publishers. The assortment is continuously growing and changing — stop by and discover new books, artists, and publishers.
Address: Blekingegatan 14, Stockholm
Open: on Fridays 14-18 and by appointment.
We hope the newly opened space will become a hub for photobook enthusiasts in Stockholm, hosting events, talks, book launches, and exhibitions. We are sharing the space with Noyoga, a furniture-focused design studio that creates unique pieces from materials found on the very street where the shop is located. The result will be an experiment — a place where visual cultures and creators come together.
Call for books
If you would like your book(s) to be considered, please submit it by filling out the form this form. All photobooks are welcome, though we are especially interested in independent productions and self-published titles. The submissions are reviewed about once a week, and due to the large number of books rolling in, only the successful ones will be responded to.
Infrequently asked questions
-Can I submit my book by email?
Please submit by using the submission form — it’s quick and only has a few questions. Thank you! (no DMs, please)
-My book is published later this year, can I submit the PDF?
Please submit only books that have already been printed and produced.
-Can I propose a program, like an artist talk or book release, to be hosted at the bookshop?
Yes! Proposals are welcome, send yours to hello@kultbooks.com. Since Kult Books is a one-person operation, time is limited and only a few events can be hosted. But let’s see what’s possible and take it from there!
-I did not receive an email, did my submission come through?
Yes, if you filled the form it came through. You will not receive a confirmation email.
-Can you take my book to the bookfairs you go to?
No, Kult Books attends book fairs solely as a publisher, showcasing and selling its own publications.
